2.  Awesome
My 5 year old loves this toy - he has another related set and makes numerous different creations with them. Good for bath also.

3.  Good toy
Bought this water toy for 6 year old grandson. He liked to play with it in the tub. He wasn really interested in putting it all together, but would if I put it all. Really liked playing with the basic pieces that floated.

4.  Great for in the water
I have this complete set, this is actually a smaller part of a complete set of an ocean research boat. If you can find the bigger set that goes with this, with a shark cage, large boat, shark, it will offer lots of interchangable peices to make different floating boats. the divers are great too. I purchased mine 3 or 4 years ago. It appears they come out with a different theme set each year, I beleive the jurasic park is this years theme and last year was the pirate ship. There is a snow theme that is amazing, and the space shuttle theme is also fantastic. You can still find some of these sets, but you are going to pay a good amount for them.
These toys are not indrustructable, but they will hold up to normal play, I use my set every year with my preschoolers at my day care in a small pool and Although after 3 or 4 summers there are a couple smaller peices broken therer is still lots of play left in this toy.

Bought this one for home after it became a favorite at grandmas toy. Long term play and building design for fire truck lovers and budding truck designers. Can be mixed with other Mega Rig kits to make even larger vehicles. A good investment for young builders. Also check out the crane/wrecker and Dino Hunt Crane rig!

We have two boys, ages 3 and 2, and they love to play with all of their Mega Rig sets. This one is smaller than some others, but the price reflects that. The Fire Squad, the Helicopter, and the Construction Rig are all smaller sets without a lot of possibilities for making alternative vehicles. But, when you add these to some of the other sets, there are really a lot of possibilities for little hands to create. We have 7 of these sets now and my older son plays with them nearly every day and has for over a year. They are creative, only slightly challenging and quite rewarding because in only a couple of snaps you have a new vehicle. As parents, we also like these because they allow for more creative play because there are no sounds and with very few exceptions, there aren any moving parts. It is also true, though, which is why this doesn get 5 stars, that this particular one and most of the subsequent sets is made of a more brittle plastic than earlier sets trach, car crusher, pirate ship. Both cabs on this fire truck have broken off because the plastic snaps instead of bending and we just received this one last month for Christmas. They are still a lot of fun even without the cab covers, so I would still give it 4 stars because this doesn diminish the play much at all. Just be prepared for those to break if you are considering buying this.
